The Remote Monitoring Unit (RMU) is the core component of the SPECS VISION oil mist detection system. It acts as the central interface for monitoring, controlling, and managing the entire system. How the RMU Works

• Data Acquisition:

• • The RMU receives signals from the oil mist detectors, which measure the concentration of oil mist in the air.

• Data Processing:

• • The RMU processes the received signals, converting them into digital values representing the oil mist level.

• Display and Monitoring:

• • The RMU displays the oil mist levels on the LCD, both as a bar graph and a numerical value.
  • It continuously scans the detectors, updating the display in real-time.

• Alarm Generation:

• • If the oil mist level exceeds the pre-set alarm thresholds, the RMU triggers alarms.
  • Mist high alarm: Red LED and relay activation.
  • Pre-warning alarm: Display message and relay activation.
